I have a student loan at Standard Bank, there was a mistake made by Standard Bank and they allocated monthly payments to the wrong account. I was unaware of the mistake, and received a Sec 129 letter from RL Daly Attorneys saying my account is in arrears. I contacted the attorneys and they informed me that I had to make an arrangement to pay. Being unaware of the problem, I informed the Attorneys of the situation but still indicated that I am willing to make payments, regardless of the mistake as I know that I owe the Bank money. I then did a credit check just to make sure everything was in order and to my surprise Standard Bank took Judgement against me 2 years ago, through different attorneys. I contacted Standard Bank and informed them of my situation. I further hand delivered a letter to Standard Bank and both attorneys firms requesting consent to rescind the Judgement that was taken against me. I still to this day have not received anything from Standard Bank or the attorneys. This week Standard Bank took without my consent R5000 from my savings account. I contacted them and they informed me that I am in the wrong and that they are allowed to take the money and will not refund
