On 15 Nov I was involved in an accident which I didn't cause. At first FFW seemed very helpful & advised me how to proceed. My car was booked in on 19 Nov to be assessed at Telesure Assessment Centre. I was contacted on 23rd Nov by Felicia (the lady in charge of my claim) who told me how much the damages came to (excess of R5400!).
My car was booked in at AutoMagic for 9 Dec, when I arrived there that morning they explained the procedure to me - my fender would be repaired & the door replaced (with a 2nd hand one coming from JHB). It would take 3-4days for the door to arrive. I explained I couldn't leave my car if they were not going to work on it, asking if they could contact me when the door arrives.By 13 Dec, I had still not received a call from AutoMagic, thus I contacted FFW who after many calls told me the door had not arrived yet but with it being a long weekend I would be contacted by latest 17 Dec.By 21 Dec, after having sourced my own door & having it installed (for only R2000), I contacted FFW to complain about the poor service & to cancel my policy. They didn't apologise for the inconvenience or offer to compensate me - even though I paid my premium every month!
