From all the great "FNB Steve" adverts I have been hearing, I decided to open my new business bank account with FNB. The fist time I tried was on the 19 November 2013 through the website. I got an automatic response saying they would contact me within 48 hours. After a few days I called the call center, they have no record of the application. I then completed the info over the phone, and had to send a utility bill which I did, they again promised a 48 hour turn around. Nothing for a week, so I called the call centre. They now need my ID and business registration papers, which again I sent. After another week of silence I called them again, they only received my ID. I then sent them my business registration again. After a few more days I had to call again and everything is in order it should be sorted in 2 days. The promised it would be ready by the 12th so I could start invoicing. Still nothing. Today I called again, they will get someone to call me back by tomorrow.
This is shocking service, am I making a mistake wanting to switch to FNB, I think I will go back to Nedbank where my private banking is held, they are not perfect but infinitely better than the current FNB service
