I called Nedbank today to ask them to reverse two debit orders that were put through my account to be told oh no they cannot do this. I ask why, oh I must contact the company direct, this has been an impossible task.
So basically my money into my account can be debited I have no control over it and no recourse?? Well I am sorry, this is unacceptable, and I will shout from the hill tops if necessary about this, if Nedbank are prepared to ignore me well then I will not bank with them any longer and will not recommend them to anyone. I will close my account and tell every single person I meet about this treatment, and word of mouth can be very detrimental.
I wonder if the fat cats sitting on the board of directors would accept money being taken off their account at random and be fine with it?? Somehow I do not think so! I may be an average joe soap, but I am one of the joe shops that keep a bank like Nedbank in business.
The amount I am asking to be reversed may not be much to them but it matters to me.
