On the 28/11/2013 my house was damaged by hail storm, and on the 29th i called the claims department to log in my claim and they sent me an sms with a case number (9492224) and it stated that they will contact me within ten minutes. so i waited and i ended calling the 24hr number they had provided, on the same day because i was cut off i went to STDB mamelodi branch to request assistance. they said i had to speak to the people at head office. i called them and i was advised that my case worker was buys they took my contact details and told me they will give me a call. a consultant gave me a call on monday and told me that they are giving us R5000.00 for emergency. after that call STDB never called me again the only thing i got were the details of the contractors who were coming to check the damages. the contractor who came was the one who checked the roof and because the roof tile was coming into the house through the ceiling. on the 29th i had to buy a plastic so that we can cover the whole roof as it had been raining almost everyday after the hail storm. i contacted the contractor several times & he told me that he is waiting for STDB to authorise to date my issue is not reso
