We have life insurance on my wife's name which is linked to our bond. Our copy got lost. This policy covers death and disability and is ceded to ABSA. My wife has been diagnosed with cancer on 28 October. We have on numerous occasions attempted to get hold of a copy of the policy document to determine what conditions of disability are covered. If our policy have the same provisions as indicated on the website, we might have coverage. The only contact numbers on ABSA's website lead to call centres. I requested a copy on numerous occasions over a period of several weeks but was only provided with the basic information regarding the policy, i.e. amount covered, premium, etc. This was emailed and mailed to us. I even had a formal meeting with life insurance advisor at ABSA Hatfield but was again referred to the call centre.
