I was diagnosed with upper GI bleeds in May this year and hospitalized. In october i had a burst ulcer and now they say its the same illness and dont want to pay on my hospital plan. I have stressed to them the differences and the fact that having a plus policy allows me six months intervals between hospitalization, and instead of getting R13000 i am owed, i get a measly R1200 out of compassion from them.
I think it is false advertising that gets the clients, and they find every excuse not to pay a claim out and after two years of paying premiums, i am disgusted with their service and attitude, so much so, i have asked to now cancel my policy.
