I wanted to increase my internet banking limit. The first consultant told me that I had to have funds matching the increase amount availailable in my account.
I had done internet banking payments this month, & needed a limit increase to process further payments. Obviously the funds in my account would not match the increased limit, because I had already used half of what I had requested! I was told by this consultant that my limit had been increased, but upon login I saw that it had not been done.
I spoke to a team leader, who was going toincrease my limit & call me when it had been done. Surprise! an hour later it hadn't been done!
2nd call I asked him what the problem was. He said that I had a new account & I had to confirm my salary to enable him to increase my limit to half of what I requested.
I have been a standard bank client since about 1997! New account? or incompetence?
He told me that he had increased my limit, but upon login I saw that it had not been done.

My limit was finally increased, but I have not been able to speak to a manager, which I requested to do with all 3 consultants. I am disgusted in you, STANDARD BANK!!
