I have been to SBSA twice to increase my internet banking monthly electronic payment limit. On both occasions the form was signed off by me and when I asked if this is immediate the person helping me confirmed that it was. Only, when i arrived home to do the transactions, my limit was still the same. It is not possible for me to go into the bank every month just to increase my limit. I understand that the limit is to protect me and my finances but surely it is my prerogative to decide what my limit must be. I have a big transaction that I have to do soon and am dreading going into the bank again to change this limit knowing that I will be disappointed again. How do I permanently, IMMEDIATELY increase my limit? Capitec has an unlimited payment limit and FNB has a R500 000 payment limit on a normal cheque account. Why can't I also have this privilege, it seems.
