I visited fnb branch on 7 december 2013 to make a personal loan. The consultant then also asked me if i would like to upgrade to a check account, which i agreed to. She then told me my loan was approved and that the money will be available on the latest monday 9 december. The money was not available on monday so on tuesday i phoned the fnb helpdesk and they said to wait 8 working hours. On wednesday I phoned again and they told me that they have problems with their system and there is nothing wrong with my application. The money will be paid into my account as soon as there systems is up and running. On thursday 12 december I phoned the help desked again and then they told me that I have a dubble profile on the system and that is why the money is not paid into my account. Three times I phoned and I got different answers from every person. Who do I believe, and why did the consultant who help me with the application not tell me that upgrading to a check account will cause problems with the loan. I am utterly dissapointed. I applied for the loan because I need the money urgently but know its just casing me troubles.
