On the 16/01/13 i applied for a homeloan through Standardbank. Initially i was told that my application would take 7 days to be processed, till today I'm still waiting for a response. Last week one of the consultants advised that a 90% bond will be approved but still no approval. Since the 24/01/13 till today everytime i call i am told that confirmation of employment is being done on the application. I called Standardbank again today, desperate to know whats going on as the estate agent also needs to know whats happening and till this afternoon i was told about the confirmation of employment. How long does it take to confirm employment? I asked for someone to call me back because all the call centre agents do is make notes on the system and promise that someone will call back. When will someone call? When will confirmation of employment be done?? How long does this process take??? Who do i speak to because the call centre agents are forever escalating the matter but no-one ever gets back to me. My estate agent has even advised me to apply elsewhere for a homeloan, but why should i loose my staff benefits because of someone else's incompetence.
