I received a Garneshee order for the outstanding amount on a personal I have with Nedbank. The garnishee order was dated 4th November 2013.which in turn means that the amount as per the garnishee order will only be deducted at the end of November and paid over to the attorneys Smith & Smith. This has been done at the end of November.
I checked my bank statement and discovered that Nedbank has deducted from my Bank Account the amount of R1, 108 on the 25th October and the 25th November 2013.
I then contacted Thuli from Nedbank and she advised that I must send her the proof of payment to the attorney. I then forwarded the proof of payment and questioned as to why the deduction from my bank account in October and the garnishee was granted on the 4th November.
I advised Thuli that I want the October and the November amounts deducted from my bank account reimbursed and she told me that they can only reimburse the November deduction and this will take 2 WEEKS.
I told her that this is not fair practice and that I need the money back into my account within 48hrs as the deducted amounts from my bank account resulted in my bond payment not being paid. All I want is my money that was deducted!
