I had two African Bank loan accounts... 6031063001 and 6031063003. During October 2013 I was offered 40% discount on both loan accounts, I could only settle one of the two. I decided to settle the small amount which was R5908-18 as per the settlement offer received dated 30 October 2013 from Hammond Pole Majola Attorneys.
I paid the amount at FNB Adderley Street, Cape Town on 31 October 2013.
Received my settlement letter confirming my payment and that the account is settled in full.
However, on 28/29 November 2013 I received a SMS from African Bank stating that an amount of R9670-00 was outstanding on my loan account, 6031063003.
On 3 December 2013, I received a notice that my loan account is being handed over for EAO/Garnishee.
Again on 8 December 2013 I received a SMS saying that I owe R 3761-00 on my loan account already settled.
I am aggrieved that AFRICAN BANK regarding the settlement amount and also that I am being threatened with EAO/Garnishee processes.
Please help me!
