On the 29th August 2013 car was in a accident.. The accident was immediately reported to my brokers. For interesting sakes I phoned Wesbank to determine the settlement. They give me an amount but stated that is MY settlement as Insurance companies do get a better deal.. Twice during this two months of waiting and paying my HP I was informed that the reason SANTAM is waiting so long is because they are negotiating a better settlement amount
After phonecalls, lodging of complaints and lots of emails I did receive a statement from WESBANK with the settlement amount. even more than i did get quote for. I emailed the assessor with the followng amail. I copy "What to do next? Is this the best settlement amount? "
I did receive the following e-mail back"
Hi, Yes sir this is the market value of the vehicle.
We will settle and obtain the registration documents."
And today I did receive the following email
We refer to the above and confirm that your insurers have deposited an amount of R... directly into your banking account in full and final settlement. SHOCKING
What happened to the negotiations and why about it Please cancell all my business with SANTAM
