Delayed response results in card use

On Saturday my Standard bank card got gobbled into the machine after a stranger walked up to me while I was trying to transact and pushed my card into slot and fiddled with the keypad. To my horror the machine wouldn't return card or allow me to transact.

I stayed by the ATM trying to call the lost card line and 20 minutes later no one has attended to me. I get an sms telling me R2000.00 has been transferred from my account leaving me with R63 in my account.

HOW DOES IT TAKE THAT LONG TO ATTEND TO A LOST CARD REPORT? I finally attempt to call the line (which wouldn't have been necessary had my card been blocked sooner, while I was waiting for a consultant to pick up) and lo and behold my accounts had to be frozen since no one is open on Sunday to assist.

How does it take THAT long to block a card? Will I ever get my money back? How long am I to wait? We pay MASSIVE amounts of money to have you safe keep our finances. THIS is completely appalling and simply disgusting.

I got defrauded while on hold waiting for someone, anyone to block my card!!! It took over half an hour with me on the phone WAITING while my hard earned money marched out of my account.
