New banking details

I changed my banking details and I notified them 2 weeks ago. I then applied for a loan, they call me back (I appreciate them on that) but they are telling me that my new account has not been registered yet. I asked then if where will they debit their installment from if its not registered. They told me that I must write a letter corfirming that I changed my banking details. I am tired of them and I don't understand them anymore as I thought that I was doing a good thing by telling them my new banking but now its like I commited crime or sin.
