I have a loan with African Bank and contacted them today to change my banking details. A process which I did telephonically with another creditor and this was completed within a matter of minutes. I was informed by the African Bank call center that they no longer change banking details telephonically or in a branch. The only way to change the details is via FAX. Thats right, FAX. Who still uses this technology, furthermore I have to fax them a copy of my new bank statement. Which means I have to actually go into a bank. African bank has no problem doing all their business over the phone, from approving a loan to taking your banking details. No that it has to be changed I have to fax them something. I am doing the right thing by informing them of the change in banking details, but why should I have to do all the work.
I am very unhappy and will not be using their service in the future. Get with the times
