Trying to get service out of Standard Bank is like hitting your head against a brick wall!! For more than 3 months now I have been complaining to them regularly about rejection problems with my wife's credit card. When you ask to contact a senior manager, he is protected and shielded from contact. Their so-called "Complaints Resolution Centre" sends you standard replies that your complaint will be attended to, but NOTHING HAPPENS. I have accounts with other banks, and find SB to give the worst service.
