EAP frustration

I have to agree that Standard Bank- good as it is - really does need to examine its confused process for EAP. I went into the George Mall branch today and somehow altho I was seeking to arrange an eft transfer the lady managed to tell me every reason why she couldn't help and no reason why she could. Instead she called joburg and I heard her discussing my EAP limit. No real idea what this is. Then she said 'yes he has got an EAP limit.' Clearly joburg were saying I hadn't got one. Then she said I had to phone and email joburg re my EFT request as she couldn't help. As I get home I get sms saying my EAP reduced to zero. I know it was R18k before altho never could understand what it meant. But with no consultation she reduced it to zero. Joburb now tell me I must go back into the branch to change an EAP. I point out that's 50 km trip for me but they cant help. Why cant different departments help in these astonishing situations where at least 4 times Ive been wrongly shuttled around Joburg and George and genuinely have logged up over 500kms in unnecessary mileage? Im a former bank CEO myself and if I had this going on a lot of heads would have rolled. GJHL Webste
