Standardbank home loan - the worst!

I have applied for a home loan with Standard bank 26 August 2013, Pre screen approved.
Offer to purchase signed with seller.21 October, Required documents faxed and emailed to Standard bank. Additional documents requested and faxed and mailed on 1 Nov, again on 7 Nov and again 11 Nov, each time I phoned to find out if it was received they say it take about 4 hours to re-index, The next day it is still not available, I eventually hand delivered it to my branch in Northgate and, the next day it was re-indexed.
Today 20 November 2013 I phoned to find out what the progress is and there is still no movement, spoke to a consultant and she said she will escalate it. In the mean time my offer to purchase contract has expired. And I am about to loose out on a good opportunity. Do I prosecute the bank or do I just move my account to another bank, I am a Prestige client with the bank for many years, but now I just feel like another number. It is very difficult to deal with this department, no personal details. Tel number, email etc.
