Time delay in stopping card and safety at ATM

When using a Standard Bank ATM my card was & upon entering my pin, the screen displayed the numbers to a man behind me. Once realising what had happened I immediately called the number to stop my card but 1st listened to an automated system requiring me to answer questions before being put on hold whilst waiting to speak to a consultant. After 7min of music a consultant helped me block my card.
It was however too late & my card was used 2km down the road at a different ATM..
I believe the withdrawal took place in the time I was answering the automated questions & listening to the music. I understand that consultants may have been busy at the time but that automated system is a waste of time. In this case that time really was money.

Upon informing the shopping centre about the incident they said the matter was Standard bank's who are aware of prior incidents but are yet to curb occurrences.
It seems that upon opening an account with Standard Bank you should be informed that to withdraw your own money, they have made ATM's available but they don't care about your safety so if you want to withdraw your own money safely from a teller in a branch you must pay charges.
