I recently returned from East Africa and while shopping decided to use my Nedbank card; only to find out there were no funds in it. Upon enquiring and drawing a statement, I noticed several unauthorized debits/debit orders over several months from from people/companies I have never heard of. This is totally unacceptable. The one company being 'Afrimedia' amongst others.
Nedbank told me to phone the banks who have authorized them to make the debits. This is not my problem, it is Nedbanks problem. In this instance they are my bankers and 'so called' protectors of my assets and savings. It is just not acceptable and this practice must stop henceforth and I want all deducted monies returned to their respected place... my bank account.
