I was admitted to hospital for and emergency operation on the 9 December 2012, I was released 5 days later.
I phoned Hollard Insurance on the 14 Dec 2012 to find out how to put a claim in, I received a ref # and they kindly sent me all the forms that needed to be filled in by myself and my GP. This all been completed I forwarded all forms and my certified ID to the claims department. I had not received any feed back by the 16 Jan 2013, I phoned them, just to find out they were still busy with it, on the 17 Jan 2013 I received a phone call from Hollard requesting copies of my full Medical Aid report and ID. I forwarded it, on the 17 & 18 Jan 2013. Have had no response since
I sent another mail on the 25th Jan 2013 asking the progress on the claim, I received no response from them, today 29 Jan 2013 I received a SMS stating "Follow up 1: Hollard Claim registered - information required Medical Aid Records and Certified ID copy"
This hospital plan is a joke, I pay monthly instalments, they have never had to phone and ask for a payment, how many more days, months will I have to wait before I receive my payment. Clearly the add on TV is false advertising.
