I lost my mom on the 04/12/2013 called Hollard and was sent an email with a list of requirements which were normal except a 2 page medical report that requires her full medical history including if she has tested for HIV/AIDS and from 2 years prior to the insurance being taken out but when they advertsie they say no medical examinations required but after the insured is deceased medical history is needed, firstly the hospital wants an amount of R400.00 to complete the report and this will take 4-6 weeks for them to complete in the meanwhile Hollard tells me they will assess the claim once they get the medical report and let me know the outcome... ive been paying this policy for the past 23 months and now i must get told they will assess the claim once they get all the reports AND LET ME KNOW THE OUTCOME and why wasnt i told this in the beggining and also what is the point of having a funeral claim if i might or might not get paid out anyway... i feel like im fighting a battle to get money you guys have no empathy at all for your clients during their time of mourning... this isnt right and will be taken much further.
