Useless collections department

It pains me to have to resort to Hellopeter, yet the incompetence of FNB's collections department has forced my hand.

I have a smartspend loan with FNB and due to the collections department it has become arrears.

I was retrenched May last year, and enforced the cover that I took out for such an occurrence. FNB paid the installments - no hassles there.

The problem came when the first repayment after the period was over had to be paid. That day comes and goes, nothing collected from my account, but I see it seems that the outstanding amount of my loan is now bigger than it was. Go in to the branch, they cant help me.

I phone collections just after it happened the next month as well. Heard my account is in arrears due to non-payment, even though payment is scheduled by debit order and there is sufficient funds available.

I told the agent to deduct the arrears amount and the installment on that same day (30 January)

Today I received another call stating I am in arrears and now 3 months worth of installments will be deducted at once. I don't know what FNB think I earn, but 3 months installments at once is ridiculous.

This is really poor from FNB.
