"we sent a professional", Really?

I had a plumber come out to my property on 8/10/13. The said that they have to test for a water leaks as there were traces of that. They came the next day with equipment and said that my shower had a leak. I then called MY insurer Auto & gen and they got a company called Water leak services to come out and inspect. They came through on 11/10/13 and tested the walls and said they had to break to determine the cause. 2 Days later, another guy came with a chisel and hammer and broke my shower floor. A kid and an "Artisan". They then said that the pipe was not fitted on properly and replaced it with a new one. No consent from me. Cool. Its not 29/10/13 and my floor is still broken. I cannot use my shower. I then get a call from Thato in claims telling me that its not an isured peril due to DUE CARE AND PRECAUTION. That is bull. Looking for a reason not to pay. She said that it was my duty to make sure my pipes were not leaking. So in that case genius, why did your PROFESSIONAL have to break my floor to tell me that the pipe is old? Should I break all my walls in my house to make sure all is well? I bought my house like so. You never sent an inspector to inspect my property from incep
