I have been a member of the Metropolitan Retirement Annuity Fund since April of 2006.
On the 18th of October I sent email to (info (at) metropolitan (dot) co (dot) za) which was never responded to. Then on the 29th of October I called the call centre (0860 724 724) with a very simple request to have the rules of the fund sent to me via email. The call centre agent told me that the fund does not have any rules, when I refused to accept that he kept putting me on hold to ask his supervisor which I found annoying but I kept holding nonetheless. He then transferred me to some other department which turned out not to be the right department. I was transferred right back to the useless call centre at which point I decided to hang up after spending a good 15 minutes on the phone!!! How difficult can this be? How can no one be able to help me even if its by giving me the correct people to contact?!
