I had a water leak and I thought it was the swimming pool leaking and I pumped the water out. Unfortunately that was not the solution, the leak was still there. I then registered a claim with them and they conducted a leak detection and found an undergroud pipe burst, which they fixed after paying the R750 excess.

Apparently the water had been leaking for some time and dampened the walls and also made its way to underneath the swimming pool. Because there was no water, it lifted approximately 150mm from its level position. It also started devolping a seeping crack from the side at which the water was leaking from. The valve allowing the water to the pool (pressure) failed on close position. Due to the lift, the wiere broke, supply and return lines broke. I registered another claim that included cracks that were starting to propagate in the house. Everything was rejected. Reason being, 'you shouldn't have drained the water!

I don't know if that is moving forward!
