1 required bank statements for a loan as my own bank wouldnt help me although I never defaulted
2 consultant provided statements, billing me in excess of 400 rand for same. I requested 3 month statements, she confirmed same and advised they would cost 11 rand per page. I accepted the terms however did not leave with more than 9 pages. I evenly enquired before leaving the branch why I was charged in excess of 400 rand for the statement, she advised that it would be reversed immediately.
3 a week later no change was made as a platinum banker I called the call centre, referred to department after department nobody assisted
4 I went to the branch they advised it would be fixed immediately
5 this was only rectified weeks after. I was in overdraft and had bills to pay, when I spoke to the manager he said sorry for the inconvenience.
6 as a bank don't spend so much money on your annoying adverts, hire competent people and if they make mistakes fix the mistakes faster.
I am going further with this as I have investigated other poor banking practices performed by fnb inclusive of declining a device to a foreigner as he is not an SA citizen although he has a cheque account. There's more
