Last year my pipes burst, the pipe was on the backside if the shower, the plumber had no choice but to break the tiles. Std bank assigned a contractor he said he had lots of work and only came in 2013.He will look for a match and fix the tiles. He couldn't find a match; I expressed my concern that I did not want two different tiles as it would downgrade the value of my house. So I called SB, they would give me -R1000 payout. I asked around for quotes and there was no ways that that would be enough for tiles, glue, and cement, labour. If you have a pipe burst on your floor do they just chop out that section and replace it or the whole floor, why should tiles be different? The contactor said I should go to CTM and choose new tiles that blend in with the shower at CTM. I found a tile and would fall into the 3 sqm. He told me that SB won't pay because the tiles are not the same. We are still talking about 3 sqm. I called and asked for a manager to call me back, I still have not received a call. I have not been able to use my shower since last year not to mention at the time it was a big inconvenience as I was pregnant and had to use a bath and struggle. What do I do now?
