Need to speak to a consultant

I would like to speak to a consultant regarding an account i used to have at the bank. I do not have time to go to a branch but Standard Bank's call centre does not want to put me through to an agent. Keeps dropping the line when i need to type in my account details, as i do not have an active account anymore.

What is the point of a call centre then?
