I am so disappointed with the unhelpfullness i got from Standard bank, and i am so glad i left Standard bank, on Saturday i went to my branch in northgate to close my unactive account with standard bank, and to my disbelieve was told i owe R1500 on the account that i have not used for over 6months... yet the type of account i have is based on my useage, and i cannot close this account because i have to pay R1500 for an account that i stopped using months ago... i requested to speak to the bank manager only to get another consultant speak to me... while the manager hide in her office... i am so appalled by the service, i tried to make a payment plan and requested to stop this account from accumulating because i am not using this account... but they cannot help me!!! this is not the people's bank, Standard bank is forcing me to bank with them... i want this to be resolved for a change take people's situations into consideration!!! i am disgusted!!! to say the least.
