I have a personal loan with FNB for the past 5 years which expired lastmonth. Last week I received a sms from lawyers telling me my accnt was in arrears. Upon calling them they behaved very suspiciously & even called my office demanding to speak to me and telling my reception they are attorneys. I called fnb loan collections and spoke to the team leader andre september. He said that he is looking for the voice contract and has no idea how long it would take to find. Its almost 2 weeks now and i have continously had to call & get feedback. To date, absolutely nothing has been done and my name has been given to ITC by fnb as a defaulter. I have paid my account every single month for the past 5 years and today Andre told me his manager Shenaaz suggests i pay R2000 & they will close the account. This so called manager has refused to take my calls and has not bothered to give me a call. I will not pay an extra cent as i am certain that my account has been paid!!!IS IT NOT SIMPLE TO LOOK AT THE HISTORY FOR 5 YEARS AND SEE THAT I HAVE PAID MY ACCOUNT EVERY SINGLE MONTH?? no one seems to care or want to take any responsibility in resolving this. I will be laying a complaint with banking ombudsman
