I was in arrears with my Sanlam personal loan that is managed by direct axis. I then called in for the arrears amount and it was given to me as well as a reference number. I then paid in the money on the exact date that I said I would, and a week later I was still getting calls every single day for this people, it was then picked up that the inorrect reference number was given to me and I was asked to e-mail the proof of payment. I e-mailed the proof of payment and i still have not heard anything from the collections department to say that my account is up to date. I called in yesterday and again this morning and they keep putting me through to different people who cannot help me. I am highly frustrated because when accounts fall behind they are quick to call me, and not once... they call EVERY SINGLE DAY! I paid my arrears amount on the 29 May already, so why is it taking them so long to sort it out. I received my loan account statement on the 12 June and it still reflects the arrerars amount. I was told that a consultant would call me back but nobody is calling, because they are too busy harrassing people that cannot pay. I WANT THIS SORTED TODAY!!!
