On my debit card

Hi Guys,

I need to just vent and to find out if anyone else is going through the same nightmare I am experiencing!!

It all started yesterday when I got an automated call from FNB telling me that they suspect activity on my debit card. Obviously I became alarmed and I emphatically denied having attempted to buy air tickets from Comair worth R3000 that morning!! I confirmed that I had my card with me and had no idea what was going on. I was then taken through the process of cancelling my card and ordering a new one.

Now I have just received an authentication code (OTP) on my fone meaning that there was another attempt to use my card again. I called FNB abt it & they said that I shouldn't worry since the card has been cancelled and thez nothing more they can do about it!!

I never thought this would happen to me. I have gone online to check my previous transactions to see if I swiped my card at some "dodgy place" but nothing stands out. I don't know how these guys got hold of my card details. I am always careful with this kind of thing. I never lose sight of my card during any transaction & rarely do online shopping. I use my credit card for that.

I have lost faith!
