Unfair treatment at my bank

I had a credit card account with the bank in the past six years. At the time since then I was unemployed and had no source of income. I informed them of my situation since I had money I owed them. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM SINCE THEN. I opened a savings account with the very same bank three years ago and there was activity in the account at the time. This same account has been dormant with no transaction at all in the past few years.

I have recently managed to get economically active and have thus revived my savings account which is still open. On the 05th October 2013, money was transferred into my savings account and it was frozen. The reason was that they were suspicious. When they removed the block on the account, my account had been debited with R 8, 5K. Upon investigation at the Sunward Park branch I was told the bank debited me with the debt on the credit card account. The legal consultant told me even pensioners pay their debts.

As to how I will pay my workers, I just don't know. No plea could be accepted by the unhelpful consultant who had an attitude to go with as well.
