I have an FNB account for the past 16 or 17 years. In 2006 my home was burgled and my credit cards and other bank cards were, I reported this but FBN never ever stopped the card, then I started getting sms's with transactions done on my account it eventually ran up to R29000.00 don't know how this could have happened because I did not even have that much credit to spend. Anyway the account was handed over to the department and it has been an ongoing investigation since 2007. It is now 2013 and I have not ever heard from FNB regarding this credit card, no correspondence what so ever from them. Yesterday a client deposited money into my Salary account and I transferred the money into FNB so not to get it mixed up with my salary, today FNB legal department deducts R1540 off my account for the credit card, I went into the bank to find out what the heck is going on because that is not my money and they said it's for a credit card that has not been settled. Now this has been since 2007 why after 6yrs all of a sudden they deducting money off my account without any notification. Please advise what I can do regarding this. I am now fuming mad!
