I have been trying to sort this out for almost a year now. It's difficult to fathom how one of the countries largest banks cannot send SMS to my phone. It seems like such a simple problem to fix yet absa is dumbstruck. They are saying its VODACOM but I have confirmation from VODACOM saying that the problem is with absa. If I transact I do not receive an SMS for the transaction, a service which used to work one hundred percent before and then suddenly stopped working. Nobody in Polokwane or in jhb know how to fix the problem or even don't know what went wrong since it was working before. This is not the first hello Peter complaint logged on this issue. People say they will come back to me but never do. The service is disgusting to say the least.it reminds me of a business on a taxi rank where nobody cares. Is this the I, age absa is trying to project? No wonder there's so many people not happy with absa. If this is not fixed I will gladly take my business to standard bank as I hear their service is legendary.
