I was quite disappointed with a letter from Outsurance informing me that I would be receiving a 31% increase on one of my vehicles (overall 13% increase for all my insurance at Outsurance) together with a 114% increase in the excess on that vehicle. This vehicle was involved in four incidents in 2013 - two windscreen, two bumper bashings (only one of which was our fault). I felt that this increase was excessive - I was quite prepared to start shopping around...
Then I called and spoke to Linda Ngwenya. He spoke calmly and professionally and I felt that I was being treated as a customer and the conversation was friendly and open. There was no feeling of confrontation. I was happy I called. The result of the conversation was more than I expected. Outsurance made a loyal customer out of me - just be being reasonable, and listening. Well done...
