I have a personal loan with Old Mutual. I have never missed a payment, I am not in arrears. Each and every month, I get a SMS that my Debit Order was denied and I have to phone them immediately. I do this each and every month, explaining that I do not get paid on the 25/26 but 2 days before the end of the month. Each time the say the same ting, yes, they know. Why, but why do you keep sending me SMS's and then ALSO go and do credit checks? That reflects as an inquiry and has a negative impact on credit score? Why oh why! One tries so hard in this country to do the correct thing by not missing payments, paying tax etc, but large institutions can just go and do as they please, so sick and tired of this. I will go out of my way now to let people know NOT to make use of your personal loans facilities. And call center (after being on the phone for 12Min) said yes they know the debit is supposed to go off 2 days before... still, I am made to feel like I am not paying, and credit checks and what not... ai ai ai... Sad... so Sad... terrible.
