On 20 September I broke down on the corner of Atholl Oaklands road and Scott streen in Oaklands Johannesburg. I called up the FNB telephone banking number to try and get road side assistance as I am a gold cheque card holder with a linked Petrol Card. The reason I took the Petrol card was for the roadside assistance. After numerous calls and being told that I am a.) not on their system b.) my card number is invalid (or I cant read coz my card number doesn't start with 88).
Finally I spoke to a Thabile who said that the only way I can get assistance is by paying for it in cash and then FNB would refund me.
I ended up paying R750 to their service provider.
As a new customer I am disgusted at the way that every conceivable mistake that could be made was made, including that I was never given my cheque account number and only the savings pocket number thus I have totransfer money from the savings pocket to my cheque account every time I need to make a payment.
This just leaves me to conclude that I should not move my debit orders and other business to FNB.
