On the ebucks website, under the section on "how to earn reward points", it says the following:

Insurance products like Optional Debt Protection, Smart Device Insurance and Roadside Assistance (make sure it's linked to your FNB Cheque Account).

Each of these three insurance products gives 100 points.

I opened an FNB Petrol Card, which is linked to my cheque account and which gives free roadside assistance. Yet I have not received the 100 reward points. Why is this the case? Is it because I need to take out the insurance product itself, rather than a product that gives the insurance free? That's absurd. How is one meant to figure this out? I phoned in advance of getting the Ptrol Card and someone at FNB said I would get the 100 reward points for the product.

On a related note, it is completely absurd that you offer a Petro Card, and a Petrol Card, and that these two operate very differently to one another. It's an unnecessary confusion.

This really is why people hate banks. On top of all this, nobody has responded to emails querying the issue. I've called and was told that someone would get hold of me, but they haven't. So I've come to Hello Peter.
