I went to the Adderley Street branch in cape town the beginning of august in order to get a new card and to change my marital status and surname. I gave all my information to them including copies of both of my id's as well as my marriage certificate. They will remember me well as I almost went into early labour in their branch. They issued me with a new card and I activated it, I was advised that i would only be able to use my card at the end of august. Tried using it and guess what, not activated. I have called the call centre 19 times, still nothing, tried to activate it on their activation line 36 times - still nothing. Yesterday the manager Molaka tel0115641565 said he will activate manually. Today, i get ans sms to activate, guess what- TECHNICAL DIFICULTIES. I call Molaka, he says he is sorting it out with the branch. Then someone calls me to say that i must go back to the branch to get another replacement card (my 2 one). I REFUSE TO, I AM 38 WEEKS PREGNANT AND I REFUSE TO GO BACK TO A BRANCH TO SORT OUT AFRICAN BANKS INCOMPETENCY.
