One the 15th of September 2013 I made a purchase at Pick 'n Pay Kensington to the amount of R 227.66 to which I received a conformation SMS from the bank confirming the amount purchased for.
On entering my internet bank profile today I was shocked to find the amount of R 40 264.71 had been deducted by Pick 'n Pay.
On registering a complaint with Nedbank all I was told is that it will be investigated and that I was not the only victim of this behaviour.
How a transaction like this can be authorised is beyond me when firstly the was now near that amount in the bank account, secondly I am supposed to have a limit of R1500.00 on the account and thirdly the bank confirmed the transaction amount and the authorised a different amount.
Now my account is in a negative and all I must do is wait?! And if it is not rectified by tomorrow I must phone back. What happened to client service?
This is completely unacceptable and disgusting!
