Bad customer service

My son bought a television and surround sound from Furniture City. African Bank is the financial organisation for Furniture City. He gets paid every 2 weeks. When he bought the TV and surround sound, Furniture City said that the money will be deducted every 2 weeks, but after 2 months, he can change the debit order to monthly. After 2 months, he wanted it changed to monthly; the lady at Furn City said that she will make a note. On the 2nd of September, the full amount (debit order) went off for the monthly payment. On the 6th of September my son got a sms from African Bank to be fund his account for the fortnightly debit order to go off. He went to Furniture City again and explains that the full payment went off on the 2nd of September. The lady said she will make a note AGAIN!!! When he got paid on 11th September, half of the monthly payment went off again! He phonedAfrican Bank and they asked him for a letter of his employer, an ID copy and payslips again!!! How is that possible? The way they are taken the money now out of his bank account, he is paying double the monthly instalment, and he really can't afford that. Is there anybody who can solve this problem?
