I have been a Standard Bank client for 50 years and my credit rating has always been excellent. A week ago my debit orders were returned "insufficient funds" although I was nowhere near my limit. My local account manager has done her best to resolve the situation, but it seems branches and head office do not communicate. In the meantime, I, a pensioner, am unable to pay my accounts, rates, etc., and my debit orders are unpaid, casting shadows on my credit rating.
