SMS Spam that you have to pay to opt out

I find it shocking that [URL Removed] spams your cell phone and then you have to pay to opt out, what about getting permission in the first place. How about 1 initial sms that says if you dont opt in we will never contact you again?
I will never use Hippo even if it is the cheapest around, I would rather pay double. Their response to this

Is totally ridiculous, like they dont know exactly what they are doing, they should rather just say "we do not care about you or your privacy or they would not have spammed me in the first place.
