Stalling delivery of cancelled check

I submitted a nontransferable ABSA bank cheque at the ATM outside Standardbank Durbanville branch on Wed 28 Aug 2013. It was cancelled, because it reflected my maiden surname.
I followed up at that Standardbank branch on Saturday 31 Aug 2013. They confirmed that the cheque is at the Cash Center in Bellville where all cancelled cheques retrieved from ATMs have to go before returning to branches. The lady called them and confirmed that it was being transferred that same day to the Standardbank Service Center at Tygervalley by courier.
Since then Shaun at the Standardbank Service Center at Tygervalley has been trying his utmost best to obtain this cheque. He followed up with me regularly, but TWO WEEKS later Bellville is still sitting with the cheque.
The impacts for me are:
1. The money is neither in my ABSA account nor in my Standardbank account.
2. It is costing me money since my installment at ABSA increased already.
3. I have to pay penalty fees at the lawyers to whom I want to pay out that cheque from ABSA.
The service of that person who is currently stalling the delivery of my cheque is appalling. I want that cheque delivered to Tygervalley ASAP.
