We are people, not dirt

I don't even know where to start... I just know that when my father had money years ago, he got one phonecall after the other to come in for gold and platinum cards, credit cards, cheque books etc! Now... that he is already on his knees, its one phonecall after the other threatening with his vehicle.

My father has been on debt review for the past five years, almost six! He did the right thing in consulting with a debt counselling company, and not hide away and not do anything about his debt.

We have been getting phonecalls from John van Zyl, threatening to reposess our vehicle. Then I personally called him to find out what exactly it is he needs. He said he e-mailed Dawn at credit matters and someone else, and just needs proof of the debt review! Moeshfieka Botha (Media and Communications Manager at Credit Matters) then tried to call him and in her own words, he was very very rude and refused to speak to her at all. Since then we haven't heard from him.

Today, we get a letter from Absa's Johan Hugo, stating we have ten business days from the date of this letter (14 aug 2013) to settle the outstanding amount on the bakkie!!! Really???

Its almost the 14th of september???
