Sets up incorrect account and does not call back

On Wednesday afternoon I stood in line in the customer care section of Tygervalley ABSA. The reason was because I noticed that there were some strange charges on my account that I could not understand or explain. I spoke to a nice lady who said that the Heerengracht Cape Town branch put me on the incorrect account type, cheque account pay as you go instead of the Cheque account where I pay R79 and fees are included. So essentially I was given a product that I did not sign up for.

She said that she would need to speak to a manager in the Heerengracht Cape Town branch and that there was no one available at the time and thus she would call me tomorrow (Thursday) to let me know about the charges being refunded. 1 day later (now Friday afternoon) and there has been no phone call at all to make matters worse even though the fault was on ABSA's side the cannot guarantee a refund of more than 3 charges, which I find unacceptable as there was no meeting of the minds with regards to the incorrect product and the charges are not laid out properly within the statements. The charges come up to around R2300.

Please contact me asap to explain what is going on swiftly.
